Hello 2014!

Happy New Year and Welcome 2014!

I hope that the festive period was good for you. 

I've had a bit of a blogging break and now I'm back. It feels good! 

I've been busy over on Instagram over the holidays, baking, catching up with friends and being a Mummy to our two year old as Daddy was working through the holiday (boo).

So for this year, I'm not going to post a long list of things I'll do. Simply, I'm going to slow down and enjoy creative time away from my work and family to create a blog that I'm proud of. 

My aim with my Crafternoon Teas and crafts is to spread the word about slowing down to craft, take some time for ourselves. Switch our gadgets off once in a while for a few hours and let's create!

Season's Greetings

As the last Christmas presents....

are being wrapped and I start cooking for Christmas tea, I wanted to wish you a ....

I'll be doing a few posts over the festive season but I'll be back in 2014 with lots of new exciting crafts, a crafty blog meet up and a new on-line shop. Looking forward to it. But now I have a cake to make!

Kid's Craft Wreaths

By now most children have broken up from school for the holidays. So what can they make whilst you run about finalising Christmas that is fun, festive and to make you very proud?

Try one of these wreaths...

These wreaths made from papier mache (leave 24 hrs to dry before decorating) and rice /pva and pom-poms. The creations are perfect for pre-Christmas crafts and extra decs too.

My two year old made the papier mache version with feathers and golden stars. A very proud Mummy.

The rice and pom-poms version was made using a paper plate with a hole cut out as the base. We wrapped ribbon around it and glued on the pom-poms.

Easy and so, so much fun. You may keep them for next year!
